Commission names four finalists for Hennepin County

The Commission on Judicial Selection has named four finalists for two open seats on the bench in Hennepin County.  The vacancies arise from the retirements of Judge Lucy Wieland and Judge David Duffy.  The finalists are:

Andrew Dunne –Dunne is an assistant United States attorney for the district of Minnesota where he handles federal criminal law matters. He has held a variety of positions with the United States attorney’s office, including serving as chief of the criminal division and senior litigation counsel.  Dunne is a senior training instructor with the Department of Justice’s Office for Overseas Prosecutorial Development and Training program, where he teaches judges and prosecutors in a variety of countries. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas law school and the University of Minnesota law school. 

Hilary Lindell Caligiuri –Caligiuri serves as a senior assistant Hennepin County attorney where she supervises the drug unit within the community prosecution division. She previously worked as an assistant attorney general and then deputy attorney general for the state of Minnesota, overseeing the criminal trial division and later the government services section of the attorney general’s Office.

James Moore –Moore currently serves as the litigation manager of the civil division for the city of Minneapolis where he is responsible for assigning and supervising all litigation for the city. He previously worked as an assistant city attorney for the civil divisions of both Minneapolis and Bloomington.

Kristin Siegesmund –Siegesmund works with Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid where she serves as a managing/supervising attorney for multiple divisions including most recently the consumer and tax units and previously the housing and housing discrimination Units.  She previously worked as a staff attorney with the Minnesota Disability Law Center and was an associate commercial litigator at Faegre Baker Daniels, LLP. Siegesmund has taught numerous courses at William Mitchell College of Law.
