What a world for Chris Brown. Even though he likes to think of himself as a victim of the merciless celeb news machine, he has gotten off pretty easy on every level.
I can’t help but still have some rage in me over the Rihanna thing. Yes, I know it’s been a while, and we are supposed to be a nation of forgivers. But it really makes the pill harder to swallow when you hear about him joking to women he picks up that he “won’t beat them” if they go home with him.
Here are a few things that get on my nerves:
Being convicted of a violent felony without doing any real time? Yep. That’s him. He has yet to really own up to anything he has done, or even really act humble about it. He didn’t serve any real time. In fact, the judge even puckered up and kissed his butt over being such a model offender for the job well done while he completed his community service. How nice.
Being involved in a violent bar fight while on probation? Well, this one is a little foggy. So far it’s hard to tell who started what, and if any real contact was made by Brown against anyone else. But it sure doesn’t sound like something a smart person would become involved in when they are on probation for a felony battery charge. Oh, well. He just got a little warning.
Being caught doing drugs while on probation? Yep. That’s him. He was just recently caught failing a drug test in Virginia. The excuse? Well, you see, he has a prescription for marijuana out of California, and it stayed in his system long enough to take the test. Needless to say if this was an average person they would have probably had their probation violated and ended up behind bars.
Being caught in just about every major event Rihanna has attended since the incident? Yes, this is him also. Part of the ruling that the judge handed down was that he would his “job” made it impossible for him to prevent ALL contact with Rihanna because they have to cross paths at some point. They took this one too far, though, and started indirectly tweeting eachother, and of course, being in the same building together a bunch of times.
Sick to your stomach, yet? I could go on, but the point has been made. He has gotten special treatment. Anyone else would have done real time in the first place, much less been thrown in jail after fighting and smoking dope. Let’s get real on this one, folks.
