Bill Would Prevent Employer Access to Employees' Social Media I.D.s, Log-Ins
New Jersey moved a step closer last week to making it illegal for employers to require employees or job applicants to divulge their social media identities or passwords. If the legislation is signed, New Jersey would join Maryland and Illinois in setting employer limits. Similar legislation is awaiting action by California's governor.
