You messed with the wrong town, Biebs!
We don't know if you've heard or not, but in case you've been in a coma all day long, allow us to catch you up to speed:
Early this morning, Justin Bieber was pulled over in Miami Beach, FL and subsequently was arrested on charges of DUI, resisting arrest and driving with an expired liscense. Oh, and lest us not forget, he was drag racing as well!
Well, news spread quickly and it made it's way north of Justin's jail cell to Washington D.C., where the mayor of Miami Beach, Mayor Philip Levine, was attending a politcal conference. No sooner was the Mayor finished with his meetings was he then greeted by reporters and asked what he thought of the situation.
In short -- the Biebs is going to pay!
True to form for a politician, Mayor Levine didn't say much about the situation, but he promised that he and his fellow public servants were committed to keeping MB a great "safe" place for people to visit and that he has zero tolerance for anyone who regards his city otherwise. When a reporter asked him if Justin should expect to be getting any special treatment while in jail, the Mayor turned back a resounding and firm, "no."
And truthfully, that's what we saw play out this afternoon. Okay, so maybe the amount of money he had to pay to be bailed out was equivalent to what he makes in a nanosecond, but that's the max that the law would allow. Can't change that.
Still, we hope to see this same kind of stern commitment to upholding the law when Justin faces the music in a formal hearing for his crimes.
Don't skimp on the justice -- he needs this!
