Bonnie Dune, the band of the late Glee star Cory Monteith, released ‘Maybe Tonight,’ one of the final songs featuring his vocals. You can hear the full audio of the new song which is from their debut album, ‘Miramar.’

‘Maybe Tonight’ had its exclusive premiere on E!News and is one of the six songs from the newly released album, which all of which are previously unheard and feature vocals from Cory Monteith.

According to the band’s lead vocalist, Justin Wilczynski, all of the tracks were recorded in L.A. a month before Corey Monteith’s untimely death last July. In an interview with E!News, he said said that in the aftermath of the recording, “Some things happened where Cory needed to take a break and we realized that he was struggling and that he was having a hard time, so we took a bit of a hiatus from the writing and recording process.”

He went on note that originally, prior to Monteith’s death the band had planned to record more songs with the intention of releasing “a full length record–I wanted to do a 10-song record.” He added, “When Cory passed we decided we would just release all the songs we recorded with him and release all the ones that we have.”

According to their official Facebook fan page, the band Bonnie Dune was co-founded originally in California by Justin Wilczynski and Jason Massey who are childhood friends. It was Wilczynski who met Cory Monteith in Vancouver as both were actors on MTV’s Kaya and Monteith who encouraged the revival of the band which he joined as its drummer and eventually the band found additional members to round out its lineup; Joshua Kerr and Seth Roberts.

The new song, ‘Maybe Tonight’ is a spirited uptempo rock song with notably bright and hopeful lyrics; “…We’re gonna burn off these cold days / Maybe tonight I won’t be alone…”

The entire album, ‘Miramar,’ was released for download on iTunes and it has been doing well in the on the alternative charts around the world, as fans rally with much support on Twitter and other social media of the late ‘Glee’ star the band which continues on, in the aftermath of his death.
