Clay Aiken has officially entered his bid for congress, y'all!
On Wednesday, Clay announced his Democratic plans to unseat second-term Rep. Renee Ellmers in a predominantly Republican district in North Carolina.
This is way harder to snag than AI's ticket to Hollywood, people!
In the video revealing his campaign launch, Clay candidly explained his tough childhood - and expressed how he can relate to people during this difficult economic time:
"For most Americans, there are no golden tickets -- at least not like the kind you see on TV. More folks are struggling today than at any time in our history, and here in North Carolina, we've got more than our share of pain."
We can't wait to see how he uses this political platform!
