Justice Drops Suit Against KBR for Billing for Private Security Guards in Iraq

The Justice Department has abandoned its claim that military contractor KBR violated the False Claims Act by passing on a $100 million tab to the U.S. Army for KBR's hiring of private security guards to protect its civilian employees in Iraq. A federal judge in Washington, D.C., last week granted the DOJ's motion to dismiss the case without prejudice.
