Shakira Being Sued For $100 Million By Former Boyfriend

Sexy singer Shakira is facing a $100 million lawsuit by her former boyfriend after their business partnership went south after their split.

The Columbian singer split with Antonio de la Rua in 2010 after more than 10 years together.

The former couple vowed to remain friends and continue on as business partners, but maybe Shakira’s new relationship has caused things to sour between them.

Antonio filed the lawsuit in New York accusing his former girlfriend of not fulfilling her promise to continue paying him a share of her business profits.

De la Rua, who is the son of former Argentine president Fernando de la Rua, has filed legal documents at Manhattan Supreme Court in New York City, stating in his filing that Shakira had asked him to take over “the business behind the Shakra brand”.

Antonio said he secured her a $300 million deal with tour promoters Live Nation.

In the lawsuit, he claims their business partnership continued for a year after their split but Shakira fired him in 2011.

Now De la Rua is demanding $100 million from his former girlfriend.

Shakira is now in a relationship with Spanish soccer star Gerard Pique and they are expecting their first child together, rumored to be a baby boy.
