The original release date was today, but there has been a delay. Paris herself took to Twitter @ParisHilton to announce the news: “It’s official! Just got word from the label #GoodTime feat. @LilTunechi will be out 10/8! I’ll be hosting a party in celebration. Join me…”
Paris Hilton and Lil Wayne? The collaboration might raise a few eyebrows. But let’s not forget, the heiress, socialite, reality TV star and entrepreneur long ago added singer-songwriter and record label mogul to her multi-hyphenates.
It’s hard to believe it’s been seven years since her self-titled debut album charted respectably on the Billboard 200 in the top 10. It’s time for Paris to return to the music scene, with another album, and this time, it’s with none other than Lil Wayne on his Young Money Entertainment label. He appears both in the music video and on the track.
She told MTV about the upcoming album, which is due out sometime in 2014, “This music is really of the time right now. It’s dance music, it’s fun, and just club bangers.”
Until the ‘Good Time’ video premieres in full we have just a glimpse, lots of scenes of Paris in full party mode, wearing slinky jewel-encrusted leotards and gowns as we hear a pulsing synth beat. Oh yes, the lyrics are explicit! Here’s a tamer line, we can safely print! “…Are you having a good time? ‘I might be a bit tipsy, but that’s OK ’cause you’re with me…”
