Such sad news to report today.
Jennette McCurdy has lost her mother to cancer.
Her mom, Debra McCurdy, has reportedly been fighting the disease, but she has now passed away due to the seriousness of her illness. She had supposedly been fighting breast cancer for 17 years. It had apparently gone into remission at one point, but when it returned in 2010, it spread throughout her body including to her brain.
The Sam & Cat star was reportedly set to host Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play in New York City this weekend, but she has canceled her appearance.
Our thoughts are with Jennette during this difficult time.
