Seventh Circuit stays contraception insurance mandate in second case

A split Seventh Circuit panel has stayed the health care reform law's requirement that insurance plans cover contraception. The injunction bars government agencies from enforcing the contraception mandate against Grote Industries, which is owned by a Catholic family that claims the regulations violate its religious freedoms. In December, the same panel issued a similar order involving another family-owned company.
