'A Good Day To Die Hard' Featurette: Some Good Father-Son Bonding

Good Day to Die Hard

By Hannah Soo Park

It looks like this one's going to be a family affair.

The latest preview of "A Good Day To Die Hard" throws us into a frenzy of action sequences (involving lots of exploding cars and buildings) mashed up with Australian actor Jai Courtney's commentary on his role as hero John McClane's (Bruce Willis) estranged son Jack in the fifth and latest installment of the "Die Hard" series.

We've seen the exploding cars and buildings before, but what's more fleshed out in this new featurette is the father-son relationship that the film seems to center around. "They lock horns, they butt heads," Courtney says of the duo.

But all in good humor, of course—the video is peppered with one-liners and snappy dialogue between McClane and son. "It's been great, that's for sure," adds Courtney.

So what other highlights are worth pointing out? Keeping the earlier trailers in mind, we've ultimately gathered that John McClane heads to Moscow, where he runs into his son Jack (who is working for the CIA with "a deep cover.") What follows are lots of exploding cars and buildings (no, really, a lot), the inevitable jokes about mom's cooking and of course, a "Die Hard" take on the ultimate father-son rite of passage: jumping out of a building together.

Willis played McClane in 1988's "Die Hard," and has since reprised the iconic role in three sequels: "Die Hard 2" (1990), "Die Hard With A Vengeance" (1995) and "Live Free and Die Hard" (2007).

"A Good Day To Die Hard" opens on February 14, 2013.
