Rosie Huntington-Whiteley graces the cover of Harper’s Bazaar UK, poses for an alluring photo shoot and opens up about her boyfriend Jason Statham her successful career as a supermodel, fashion designer and entrepreneur and the ambition and drive it has taken to achieve her goals.
The 27-year-old British supermodel rose to fame with Victoria’s Secret and has since branched into many endeavors including acting, having made her debut in ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon.’ She had much to say in her interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK, and among those topics her career — not just her success as — but how previous interviewers have broached the topic.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley said, “‘I’ve done several interviews where people have written about my ambition like it’s a bad thing. I’ve been lucky, I’ve been given some incredible opportunities but you also have to be focused. You don’t get far without goals, drive, commitment, sacrifice.”
She went on to speak about her new fashion line with Marks & Spencer and said of it, “‘I was really conscious that I didn’t want to put out a product where women would think, “Oh, she’s made something that only a twenty-something model can wear.” That’s no fun to me. I love women and I wanted to make something for all women.’
Huntington-Whiteley spoke passionately about the positive impact she has been able to make by designing clothing that is suitable for women of a variety of sizes and body types. She said, “Women actually come up to me and show me their bras. I get tweets and texts, and people will Instagram what they’re wearing, and it’s women of all different shapes and sizes and ages, and that makes me very proud.’
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has been dating British actor Jason Statham in recent years and she spoke of him as well, saying, ‘That’s what makes being with an Englishman out there so great. I mean, we live in Hollywood, for f***’s sake. It would be easy to lose touch with reality.’ She went on to express that despite the perks of living the Hollywood life, it meant being far away from her native country and family members but went on to note I feel really grateful that I do get to be here once a month.”
Along with her modeling and designing, she has not left acting behind as she will next grace the silver screen in the much anticipated appearing in ‘Mad Max: Fury Road,’ the latest of the long-running franchise.
