During tonight's (April 13) main event, a special presentation was paid to the late Paul Walker at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards.
MTV president Stephen Friedman noted, “Paul Walker was a role model for the MTV audience since the very beginning of his too-short career. Our audience grew up with him, from ‘Varsity Blues’ to the ‘Furious’ franchise.”
“He was a movie start that they could relate to. Paul’s humanity and kindness clearly showed through every role. We’re honored to be able to spend a moment in this year’s Movie awards to celebrate him.”
In addition, his former co-star Jordana Brewster explained, "This past November, tragedy struck when Paul Walker's life shockingly ended. The immense outpouring of grief around the world was a reflection of the kind of man Paul was. He was so, so special. I was lucky enough to work with him over the last 15 years and witness the generosity of his heart every day I was with him. He was humble, he thought about others. Whether you knew Paul for five minutes or a close friend, he made you feel like the most important person in the world."
Walker tragically passed away on November 30, 2013 after he and a friend lost control of their vehicle and crashed.
