She filed for divorce in December 2013, and now Khloe Kardashian is finally ready to open up about her infamous split with Lamar Odom.
During a phone interview with Austarlia's 2Day FM "Breakfast With the Stars" on Tuesday (March 18), the 29-year-old reality star admitted the pain from ending her marriage with the pro-basketball player is still with her. "It's definitely not anything I'm through. I'm going through it, but I'm not through it."
While describing what it felt like to watch her marriage crumble on the hit E! series, Khloe stated, "It's really hard to watch yourself on TV. It's definitely different in that the world has to watch it, too. It's definitely not the easier thing to do, but it's what my life is."
Also discussing the constant spotlight, Miss Kardashian revealed she wouldn't be who she is without her friends and family. "I have the same friends that I've had for 15 years. I think also, just by having each other, as soon as one of us gets a big head, we shoot the other one day."
She continued, "That's the beauty about having brothers and sisters. I just don't believe in the hype. I just don't take myself too seriously. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. It's easy to get lost in all the hype and to have all these 'yes men' around you. It's a really easy thing. But because we're all doing it together, it's a really rare scenario. Most families aren't in the public eye as we are. It works as a blessing. It works in our favor."
In regards to her younger sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Khloe declared she's "very protective" of them. "It's crazy to see that they basically grew up in front of the camera. They don't take themselves too seriously, either, which is really good. You can't in this industry. You're gonna go crazy if you do. You have to laugh at yourself."
