It is Soap Dish time again and this time I am dishing about all the casting shake-ups at The Bold and The Beautiful! There is some serious changes going on over there and I want to chat about them.

Lets start with the big news that Hunter Tylo is leaving the show once again. The brunette beauty has been a staple on the shows since basically the beginning. As for why she decided to end her run on the show, which will not be the first time she left, well according to multiple news outlets it was because contract negotiations between her and the powers that be at the show broke down. For her part Hunter is staying classy as usual sending out this message to her fans about moving on and other projects. However soon after the news broke the rumors began circulating that Hunter and on-screen enemy Katherine Kelly Lang have taken their feud off-screen, which led to Tylo’s decision as well.
Hot on the heels of the news that Tylo was leaving comes the news that her onscreen daughter Steffy, played by Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, would also be exiting the show. However in Wood’s case it is reportedly only for a short while, she is simply taking a break according to reports. She is still noted in the cast as the character of Steffy and will air on screen through July.
B&B has suffered the loss of of some major characters over the last couple of years and the show so knows how to rebound beautifully. I mean with the loss of Ronn Moss and Susan Flannery there were big shoes to fill, yet the show is still kicking butt in the ratings. With that being siad there are two big soap names headed to the hit CBS show, Rena Sofer and hunky Darin Brooks. Rena as you all know played Lois on General Hospital, then went on to find primetime success on Melrose Place. The brunette beauty will play the mother of Wyatt Fuller, who just debuted and is played by Brooks. There are not a lot of details about either character, other than they are both very mysterious. I have to say though these two as a mother.son team has my interest peeked, lvoe them both.
Finally I know she has been back for awhile but I couldn’t do a column about cast changes for The Bold and The Beautiful without mentioning that the lovely Ashley Jones is back as Bridgett Forrester, a role she has played on and off for years. I love her in the role and I am thrilled to see her back on screen. It was a big surprise her return and a big get for B&B. She may only be back for a handful of episodes but none the less she rocks!
