Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have split. Yes ladies the hunky actor is back on the market lade.

US Weekly broke the news that The Vampire Diaries co-stars have in fact decided to end their personal relationship. The magazine has a source close to the couple that has revealed that after three years of dating Nina and Ian are dunzo. That same source also shared that the duo will remain the best of friends and continue to work together as professionals. Oh doesn’t that just sound like the perfect break-up. Anyone want to take bets on how long it will be until the rumors that they hate each other and can’t work together start? I am going to say probably the first day of shooting but that is just my two cents.
As for why the relationship ended, that has yet to be revealed. The couple has been plagued with split and trouble romance rumors for weeks. Neither 24-year old Dobrev or 32-year old Somerhalder have commented on these rumors nor have they talked about the break-up. Although they began dating in 2010 they did not take their relationship public until 2011. Since then even though the couple would walk red carpets together, they rarely talked about their relationship to the press.
They may have gone their separate ways personally but both are slated to return to the hit CW series when shooting begins later this summer. In the meantime Nina, who has been spending a lot of time with the newly single Juliane Hough, will spend her summer shooting the film Lets Be Cops. It was just announced that Ian will join the advisory board for the new website RYOT. I am sure that will keep the activist very busy in he upcoming months.
Another Hollywood couple bites the dust and this time it is Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder.
