We may be in a golden age of television, but like they say - nothing gold can stay.
Yet another Emmy-winning series is coming to an end, and this one may cause a Great Depression for HBO fans!
Boardwalk Empire creator Terry Winter announced the show's final season at the Television Critics Association press tour. He said:
"We’re thrilled to get the go-ahead for a fifth season of Boardwalk Empire. After much discussion with my creative team and HBO, we’ve decided to wrap up the series after such a great run and look forward to bringing it to a powerful and exciting conclusion."
Aw! We're sure fans will hate to see an end to all the bootlegging, palm-greasing, jitterbugging action. But at least planning the ending ahead means the show can go out with a bang!
