O'Donnell cites health problems in plea to avoid halfway house

Trial attorney Pierce O'Donnell is seeking to change his prison sentence so he can serve three months at home. O'Donnell's attorney says his client's condition has deteriorated since his hip-replacement surgery, rendering him incapable of finishing his sentence at a halfway house. O'Donnell pleaded guilty to reimbursing employees who donated to the failed presidential campaign of former U.S. Senator John Edwards, D-N.C.
