Lawyers Make Final Pitch to Jurors in Online Pharmacy Prosecution

After a six-week trial, lawyers gave closing arguments Tuesday in the federal prosecution of three men accused of running an illegal online pharmacy. Prosecutors said the operation was more like street-level drug dealing than traditional medicine, while defense lawyers argued that Internet pharmacies operated in a legal gray zone prior to the passage of a new federal law in 2008.
